Emma Marcegaglia is Chairman and CEO of Marcegaglia Holding S.p.A., and Vice Chairman and CEO of Marcegaglia Steel Spa and its subsidiaries companies operating in the processing of steel. (Marcegaglia Carbon Steel Spa, Marcegaglia Specialties Spa, Marcegaglia Plates Spa, Marcegaglia Ravenna Spa, Marcegaglia Gazoldo Inox Spa, Marcegaglia Palini e Bertoli). She is also Chairman and CEO of Marcegaglia Investments Srl, the holding company of diversified activities of the group. From 1998 to 2015 she was CEO of Marcegaglia Spa. Furthermore, she sits on the Board of Directors of Bracco S.p.A. (since May 2005) and Gabetti Property Solutions S.p.A. (since April 2005).
She is Member of the Executive Board, Business at OECD (BIAC) and Member of the Advocacy Caucus, B20 Indonesia 2022. In the past, she has held the following offices: B20 Italy Chair 2021, Chairman of Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) from November 2014 to June 2021, Chairman of Eni from May 2014 to May 2020.
She was Member of the European Commission High Level Industrial Roundtable “Industry 2030” until October 2019, President of Luiss Guido Carli University until June 2019, President of Businesseurope from July 2013 to July 2018 and President of Confindustria from May 2008 to May 2012. Born in Mantua in 1965, she holds a Degree in Business Administration, with first class honours, at the Bocconi University in Milan. She has later attended the postgraduate Master in Business Administration at the University of New York. She has been awarded and named “Bocconiana dell’anno” (Best Bocconi student of the year) for the year 1996.
